Job Summary

Take a leadership role in financial reporting, planning, financial analysis, consolidations, overseeing the overall accounting process and implementing technological improvements.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee monthly close in accordance with established guidelines; prepare analysis of GM by product line on a quarterly basis

  • Review and ensure application of appropriate financial controls and accounting procedures

  • Create annual Mid-term Plan, Business Plan and Budget working with executives of each department and business unit

  • Create monthly Forecast and analysis to Budget and Forecast identifying potential areas for revision to Forecast or analysis

  • Oversee monthly divisional reporting and appropriate presentations for corporate executives

  • Manage variety of monthly reporting including analysis of results to provide insight and guidance into changes necessary to improve margin and profitability

  • Oversee preparation of bonuses for all incentive-based individuals (sales team, directors, leadership team)

  • Interface with Corporate Payroll department recording and reconciling payroll reporting, resolve taxing authority issues

  • Ensure all accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and appropriate adjustments are made timely and modify any processes necessary

  • Create, manage and oversee a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports to assist leadership team in managing businesses

  • Develop and implement analysis of business initiatives, product launches or new service offerings

  • Use sophisticated metrics to provide feedback to Product Management, Executives and other interested parties; continuous review of metrics and modification as necessary


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 6 years’ experience in accounting leadership role

  • 3 years’ experience in SaaS and/or Software products


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Hands on approach and leadership style

  • Excellent understanding of GAAP and implementation of policies

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Desire to understand “what’s behind the numbers”, ability to identify “the oddity” and compulsion to answer the questions raised

  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills

The salary range for this role is 135K-160K . Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
