Job Summary
The Senior Automation Engineer – Applications, is a collaborative software developer with knowledge, experience, and passion for developing software automation testing suites, automation frameworks and performing load and performance testing. This individual is an experienced developer with a passion for working in an Agile development environment. They have a strong understanding of automation tools and techniques to develop and maintain frameworks that can be leveraged by quality assurance engineers to automate software testing. The individual assists with the creation of complex automation suites and the regular execution and maintenance of these suites.
Essential Functions
Create and maintain automation testing frameworks
Contribute to automation test suites
Perform load and performance testing on applications
Execute, maintain, and report results and analytics from automation test suites
Partner with software engineers and quality assurance engineers to assist with their automation activities
Assist with replication of complex load related software issues using automated replication techniques
Work with the product owner, stakeholders, UX, QA and other engineers to create effective solutions
Participate in all aspects of product delivery, including planning, design, code reviews and cross-platform / cross-browser testing.
Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to features, functionality, design and performance
Has strong technical understanding of the overall product performance characteristics
Collaboratively participate in Agile ceremonies
Provide guidance to junior team members
Utilize organizational process control systems and industry privacy requirements (i.e. FDA quality controls, HIPAA).
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in a professional application development environment preferred
2-3 years healthcare technology experience preferred
Experience with testing Mobile applications using automated techniques preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Passion for Agile development principles on a highly collaborative team
Proficiency with C#, .Net Core and/or Framework, and SQL
Experience with multiple software test automation, load testing, and performance testing suites
Proactive and demonstrates ownership in solving problems and seeking input from teammates
Communicates openly and honestly and respects the variety of personality styles that make up the team
Adapts easily to solve new problems or change directions as needed
Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to use wide variety of tools and techniques to determine root cause of complex performance or load related software issues
Able to manage confidential information with appropriate discretion and judgement
Experience with security best practices

Compensation for this position is $130K-$140K. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
