Job Title:  Manager Professional Relations & Medical Education — Emerging Markets (Italy, Poland and Spain)

Department:   EMEA Marketing

Reports to:      Head of Professional Relations & Medical Education EMEA

Position Summary:

Direct line reporting to the Head of Professional Relations & Medical Education EMEA, responsibility for the development and execution of local Medical education strategy in line with the Zoll CMS EMEA operating plan. Geographical responsibility for (Italy - Primary Market) and (Poland and Spain - Secondary Markets). Joint responsibility with geographical management teams for Health Care Professional (HCP) programs such as congress symposia, webinars, round tables (national & local), advisory boards, expert panel meetings, fellowship programs, educational grants and the associated HCP contracts.

Contact person for ESC and the respective sub-societies with EMEA-wide responsibility for related market development and education initiatives. Responsible for close collaboration with the field organization to ensure alignment on strategy and to support tactical execution of medical education programs. Accountability for collaboration with the EMEA Marketing team, the identification and development of KOL customer relationships and the deployment of programs that support ZOLL CMS therapy adoption.    

The Medical Education manager will function as part of the regional EMEA marketing organization, providing input to the broader EMEA commercial strategy, as well as upstream feedback to both the global marketing and product development teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of the ZOLL CMS Medical Education strategy across Emerging Markets (Italy, Poland, and Spain), working in close alignment with EMEA and local management teams and regional stakeholders.
  • Develop and nurture educational relationships with international and national medical societies, as well as geographical Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), to support educational objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of educational initiatives, including congress symposia, webinars, round tables, advisory boards, and expert panel meetings, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Manage the administration of educational grants to national medical societies, ensuring all activities are compliant with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate Healthcare Professional (HCP) contracts, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with applicable local and corporate standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with reimbursement and market access teams to align educational programs with access and reimbursement strategies.
  • Work closely with the EMEA Marketing team to design and implement programs that strengthen ZOLL’s brand recognition, clinical presence, and visibility at scientific congresses and peer-to-peer events.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders and professional organizations to enhance engagement and promote best practices in clinical education.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Medical Education processes, tools, and metrics to ensure efficiency and impact.


 

Collaboration & Teamwork:

Ability to work within a Matrix environment, proactively collaborating with different functional groups with the goal of executing against common objectives and goals. High degree of partnership and transparency on Med Ed programs and customer activities with Geographical Country Management (Italy, Poland and Spain).

Language Skills:                                            

Ability to read, comprehend and correspond in English and Italian language required, additional European languages are a benefit but not mandatory. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Educations and/or Experience:

  • Some experience and strong interest in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous exposure to medical education, marketing, or sales support activities is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated initiative and independent thinking, with a proactive and learning-oriented approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Capability to understand, interpret, and summarize clinical or technical data accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both spoken and written, is required.
  • Good organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in Medical Education is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity or interest in the cardiac care field is an advantage.

Location:                                          

Italy would be the preferred local, though remote working will be considered.

Approximately 30% travel and some weekends required for the position.
