Job Summary
Plan, direct, and coordinate all production activities. Supervise personnel in Manufacturing. Analyze and manage resources to best meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives. Responsible for housekeeping and safety in all manufacturing areas. Ensure that all established policies, rules, and procedures are followed. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (environmental, OSHA, FDA). Support Quality System and Engineering initiatives. Participate in Management Review Process.
Essential Functions
Establish a skilled work force capable of meeting work area performance metrics.
Interview, hire, and motivate workforce.
Provide effective training and maintains training records; ensuring Training Record Audits and annual re-certifications are completed.
Provide continuous communication, including constructive feedback to employees on performance and other related employment issues.
Maintain supporting performance documentation.
Meet production schedules.
Control and monitor daily production details to achieve On Time Delivery of product in accordance with the planned production schedule.
Communicate the cause of any delay and the most efficient recovery plan in the event the planned production schedule is unable to be met.
Check machines for maintenance problems and ensures problems are resolved.
Ensure proactive cost control.
Ensure equipment and tool readiness
Ensure standards are available, understood, and followed.
Ensure accuracy of inventory released to production.
Prevent variances of scrap, labor, and materials.
Manage area within established budget.
Demonstrate support for overall quality focus and company goals.
Lead or actively participates in continuous improvement activities in assigned work areas
Work with management staff on large scope changes as needed to gain additional resources required.
Ensure a safe working environment that complies with all company policies and practices.
Promote direct action to ensure safety of employees and visitors.
Monitor work area and employees’ performance for adherence to safety procedures, work restrictions, cleanliness, and potential hazards.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Associate's Degree required or
Equivalent in a technical field required
5-10 years supervisory experience in manufacturing required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
strong knowledge of machine mechanics and processes
excellent communication and organizational skills
