Acute Care Technology

ZOLL's Acute Care Technology Division develops life-saving products and software solutions for emergency services, hospitals, public safety and the military. Its portfolio includes AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, temperature management solutions and much more.

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, service, and repairs for ZOLL Medical in Iberia. Your responsibilities will extend to other medical devices that may be added to our ZOLL portfolio in the future.

Travel: 80% of the time in Iberia by car and plane (company car provided).

Essential Functions:

  • Provide expert technical service and support for customer equipment, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Proactively maintain and service customer equipment, using diagnostic tools to identify potential issues before they arise.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, focusing on trust, satisfaction, and recurring business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with military and governmental purchasing and technical teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Consistently exceed customer expectations by providing personalized, high-touch service and clear communication.
  • Provide technical support for ZOLL Defibrillator systems, Oxygen Concentrators, Ventilators, and other ZOLL portfolio products via telephone, email, and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades on ZOLL products at customer sites.
  • Handle complaint investigations, including device and accessory investigations, in cooperation with QA teams.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D teams to provide feedback and improve product performance and reliability.
  • Support sales, distributors, and clinical associates with system setup, operation training, and cross-training on ZOLL systems.
  • Respond with flexibility to short-notice and urgent service calls, maintaining a professional and solutions-oriented approach.

Skill Requirements:

  • Relevant Engineering degree with 3+ years hands-on experience ideally in a hospital or field service environment.
  • Strong technical skills in electromechanical and medical devices. Knowledge of ZOLL devices is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer trust and support service contract growth.
  • Knowledge and practical implementation of MDR.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations (ISO 13485) and medical device reporting requirements.
  • Flexible attitude and proven ability to manage short-notice service requests under time pressure.
