Job Summary
We are looking for a buyer for a period of six months for maternity leave, who will be responsible for Raw material purchasing for our production line.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the daily sourcing, purchasing, and follow-up activities related to production materials, services, and expenses from outside suppliers.
- Negotiating prices, business terms, and schedule to meet the company's business needs.
- Manage timely deliveries of materials to support the production and sales plan.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Leading cost reduction initiatives, developing cost-effective procurement.
- Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments in the organization.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar preferred
- At least 3+ years of experience in procurement.
- Purchasing Management course or similar preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary purchasing – a must.
Experience from a manufacturing and design company in the medical device industry – an advantage. - Computer knowledge:
