Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading an operations team and specific line within the distribution center. The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in optimizing performance, managing a team, and driving continuous improvement to support customer satisfaction and organizational goals.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute warehouse strategies that align with distribution center objectives, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations.
- Manage and mentor the supervisors and the team, fostering a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Oversee daily activities which may include order fulfillment, carrier coordination, logistics, and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery across all product categories.
- Maintain optimal stock levels, monitor inventory flow, and control waste to meet customer demand and reduce storage costs.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, and freight spend. Provide regular updates to leadership and use data to make informed decisions.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve throughput, reduce errors, and increase productivity while maintaining regulatory and quality standards.
- Manage warehouse facilities, ensure proper storage, and oversee the upkeep of equipment and the physical condition of the warehouse.
- Partner with Incoming Quality Inspection, Finished Goods, Planning, Customer Service, and Transportation teams to resolve obstacles, streamline workflows, and support end-to-end order fulfillment.
- Work closely with various teams, including sales, marketing, production, and procurement, to ensure a seamless flow of products.
- Enforce warehouse safety programs. Ensure adherence to FDA, OSHA, and internal quality standards. Conduct audits and lead corrective actions to maintain compliance and proper records.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 7+ years management experience in a Distribution/Warehouse Center preferred required
- Medical device industry experience preferred
- Oracle Cloud Experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of shipping processes, regulations, and best practices in the medical device industry.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency in using various software and/or warehouse management systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
