Job Summary

  • The Warehouse Team Leader serves as backup to the Warehouse Manager in day-to-day warehouse floor operations.
  • The Team Leader takes part in leading the warehouse team, guiding, coaching, and motivating staff to achieve performance targets while maintaining an effective and efficient work environment.
  • The Team Leader is involved in all warehouse inventory movements (incoming and outgoing), including monitoring and control, while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensuring safe warehouse team operations in accordance with safety and quality standards, while maintaining an orderly and secure work environment.
  • Providing operational guidance and backup to the warehouse team and monitoring task execution: identifying discipline issues and escalating them to the Warehouse Manager as needed.
  • Maintaining a high level of service toward all internal and external stakeholders, keeping customers at the center of activity.
  •   Ensuring proper storage conditions to prevent damage or waste of inventory.
  •   Monitoring compliance with storage and handling procedures for all inventory types.
  •   Coordinating end-of-month stock review activities and supporting gap closure processes, mainly with Procurement and Finance.
  • Performing monitoring and sampling inspections of all shipments dispatched from the ILIM warehouse globally.
  • Monitoring consumable materials and initiating replenishment orders as required.
  • Providing backup for monitoring material availability for production and initiating RM orders from external warehouses as needed.
  • Performing receiving, kitting, issuing, transfer, allocation, and inventory transaction activities as required.
  • Ensuring ongoing order, cleanliness, and organization within the warehouse.
  • Participating in ERP system improvement teams and performing system testing when required.
  • Initiating improvement and efficiency processes in warehouse operational and physical aspects.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Education in logistics management, warehouse management or related field – significant advantage.
  • Valid forklift license – mandatory.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with ERP systems in a warehouse environment.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader responsible for several warehouse employees.
  • Experience in a medical company – advantage.
  • Experience working under quality assurance standards and medical quality systems (ISO9001:2008 and/or ISO13485:2003) – advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in computer systems: Office (Word, Excel, Email).
