Job Summary
The Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to improve production processes, enhance product quality, and drive cost efficiencies. This role ensures that engineering support is provided for new product introductions, product sustaining activities, process improvements, and equipment upgrades, while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
- Lead initiatives to improve production/service processes, reduce waste, and increase throughput using effective structured project management processes.
- Drives engineering engagement throughout manufacturing and product team excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Production, Materials, R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Facilities.
- Support new product introductions and product sustaining by leading engineering activities and ensuring proper process flow, tooling, and documentation.
- Analyze production data and lead cross-functional improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage capital projects and project budgets related to process improvements.
- Develop and maintain documentation including work instructions and process flows.
- Develop and sustain effective preventative maintenance and calibration programs.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) required. Candidates within 6 months of obtaining Bachelor’s degree will be considered.
- 5+years of experience in engineering, with demonstrated experience leading teams or projects required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies required.
- Experience in CAD software and manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES) is required.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills required.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred.
- Knowledge of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies preferred.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, and automotive) is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems preferred.

The annual salary for this position is:
