Job Summary
The IT Applications Manager - Salesforce leads the strategy, implementation, integration, and support of Salesforce platforms including Health Cloud and Data Cloud to enable commercial operations, customer engagement, field service, and enterprise data. This role partners closely with all cross-functional business and analytics teams to ensure Salesforce solutions support patient and customer 360 visibility, account management, and enterprise data driven decision-making. The manager leads Salesforce administrators, developers, and analysts while ensuring platform governance, scalability, compliance (FDA, HIPPA, ISO, GDPR where applicable), and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Essential Functions
- Lead platform architecture decisions and ensure scalability across global markets.
- Manage releases, environment strategy, and change governance.
- Drive adoption and optimization of Salesforce capabilities.
- Lead Salesforce Data Cloud implementation and optimization.
- Support integration across all enterprise systems.
- Ensure proper monitoring, alerting, and issue resolution processes.
- Oversee integration between Salesforce and all other enterprise applications.
- Partner with enterprise integration teams on middleware and event-driven architectures.
- Lead Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Business Analysts.
- Manage implementation partners and consulting vendors.
- Provide performance management, mentoring, and workforce planning.
- Promote DevOps and CI/CD best practices within Salesforce.
- Oversee project planning, delivery timelines, and resource allocation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). required
- 5+ years in Salesforce experience. required
- 2+ years in an IT leadership or management role. required
- Strong experience with: Salesforce Health Cloud, Data Cloud, Field Service, CRM architecture, and security & data model. required
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset). preferred
- Experience in medical device, life sciences, or regulated industry. required
- Experience with interface engines (e.g., GraphQL, Mirth) is a plus. preferred
- Salesforce certifications
- AWS integration patterns
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks.
