Logistics Specialist (3PL)  – Europe 

 

Location: Köln, Germany  
Reports to: European Operations – 3PL Logistics Manager 

Home office: option after onboarding

Role Summary 

The 3PL Logistics Assistant supports day-to-day logistics and fulfilment operations across ZOLL’s European third-party logistics (3PL) network. This role ensures reliable order fulfilment, effective inventory control, high customer service standards, and compliance within a regulated medical device environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support daily operations of the European 3PL fulfilment network 
  • Coordinate order fulfilment, shipping, returns, and exchanges 
  • Manage inventory activities including stock control, cycle counts, and physical inventory counts 
  • Handle logistics escalations, priority shipments, and customer service issues 
  • Monitor carrier, courier, and warehouse performance against service and OTIF targets 
  • Support order release, reservations, back-order management, and lead-time queries 
  • Maintain logistics data, performance metrics, and operational documentation 
  • Assist with system maintenance, item setup, and ERP-related activities 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, SOPs, and standardised workflows 
  • Ensure compliance with logistics, import/export, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g. medical device regulations, WEEE, battery shipments) 

Core Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations 

  • Experience working with 3PL providers, carriers, and warehouses 

  • Solid inventory management and order fulfilment knowledge 

  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret operational data 

  • Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills 

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 

  • Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams 

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage operational priorities
