Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the organization's end-to-end procurement function, combining strategic sourcing, supplier development, risk management, and operational procurement leadership to support business growth, supply chain resilience, and operational excellence.
Essential Functions
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team responsible for day-to-day purchasing operations, ensuring efficient execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and lead the company's long-term procurement and sourcing strategy, aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers locally and globally to strengthen the supplier base and support business continuity.
- Drive supplier development initiatives, including supplier qualification, audits, performance improvement programs, and onboarding processes.
- Establish and implement dual-sourcing and multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and improve resilience.
- Lead cost reduction and value optimization initiatives across direct and indirect procurement categories.
- Perform spend analysis, should-cost modeling, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments to support strategic sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate, establish, and manage framework agreements and strategic partnerships with preferred suppliers.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure supply continuity and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Operations, R&D, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Lead procurement excellence initiatives focused on process improvement, standardization, digitalization, and best practices.
- Develop and monitor procurement KPIs, dashboards, and governance processes to drive performance, visibility, and accountability.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial engineering or similar
- At least 10 years of proven experience in managing multidisciplinary procurement required
- Experience from manufacturing and design company in the medical device industry – advantage
