Job Summary
The Senior Accountant prepares and processes financial information, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supplemental reporting, as well as performs analytics on the financial data. In addition to the traditional accounting duties, this position requires a keen analytical mindset to help drive efficiency improvements.
Essential Functions
Performs professional accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles, and practices
Prepare standard monthly journal entries, consistent with GAAP requirements
Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts, to include analysis of accounts for accuracy and reasonableness, and timely follow up and coordination for resolution of any issues
Prepare supplemental reporting and analytics, as needed
Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Assist with policy and procedure documentation and maintenance
Identify and implement new automation/efficiency opportunities to streamline accounting functions
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
A degree in Accounting or Finance required
5+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred
Experience with Oracle is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of general accounting principles, procedures, and software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and self-motivated
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with many types of confidential data with discretion and professionalism

The annual salary for this position is:
$85,000.00 to $90,000.00This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
