Job Summary

To perform Evaluation, test, basic troubleshooting, and service new or used medical devices according to procedure with high quality standards, within time constraints, and while in a positive, team oriented manner.

Essential Functions

• Perform evaluation, functional testing, service, basic troubleshooting of product in a quality manner, according to procedure, within time constraints, and while following all safety procedures/requirements.
• Utilize electronic equipment to perform functional tests on electronic products while following written procedures.
• Learn to run all test systems across products and how the test systems work.
• Learn full use of assigned electronic test equipment and ability to troubleshoot the test equipment set-up.
• Lear circuit functions across at least one product. Can distinguish between real and false failures.
• Record product and quality information via computer or in writing, as needed.
• Participate as a member within the team in a helpful, positive, and constructive manner.
• Communicate problems or concerns to Team Lead or Supervisor right away.
• Cross-train to learn the skills necessary to be competent at a variety of positions.
• “Flex” work assignments as needed by performing different work in various areas within the company.
• While wearing appropriate protective equipment, may be assigned to handle or service used/recycled medical devices that have been worn, have been in peoples’ homes, and are not clean.
• Identify and participate in process improvement opportunities.
• Act and operate safely at all times; follow safety procedures and requirements.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have 3 years of Test and Troubleshooting skill through equivalent work experience on Electronic or Electrical equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Aptitude to learn semi-rigorous regulatory and process training requirements, demonstrate understanding, and follow instructions exactly as required by medical device regulations.
• Work at a pace in a detail-oriented manner; can follow explicit instructions precisely and consistently throughout the entire work shift while keeping pace with output requirements.
• Coachable; receives and acts on coaching input from team leads and supervisors in an accepting and positive manner.
• Must enjoy working with others on a team, contribute to team results, and get along well with others.
• Since the required training and knowledge testing for medical device processing is conducted in English, this position requires full comprehension of written and spoken English language.
• High attention to detail.
• Inquisitive. Asks questions and wants to learn/develop technically. Understand basic circuits, can read and interpret basic schematic drawings.

The hourly pay rate for this position is:

$24.00 to $28.00
