Job Summary

The Director/Senior Manager, Public Safety Marketing - JAPAC is responsible for driving the market positioning and strategy in the APAC markets to ensure continued growth and competitive penetration.  This position will focus on the implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the business within the region, whilst also working closely with the US based Marketing leaders to execute on global strategies within APAC.


Within the APAC region, analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market share data, and competitor initiatives, and translate the implications into actionable plans.


Produce an annual marketing plan for all market segments and manage a budget that aligns strategies and initiatives with those defined in the mid-term plan, whilst also contributing to the annual mid-term planning activities.

Essential Functions


Marketing Plan

  • Develop and recommend marketing plans to achieve optimum sales and profitability within the company guidelines.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans which include sales/ profit objectives, strategies, tactics, sales, and promotion budgets.
  • Determine price and volume discount policies in conjunction with the Director of Asia Pacific.
  • Revise marketing objectives to reflect changes in the business and report quarterly to the Director of Asia Pacific.
  • Support the marketing managers to organise promotional campaigns and co-ordinate all aspects of product promotions. Maintaining mailing lists for effective product mailings and promotions.
  • Ensure the company’s attendance at conferences achieve maximum market exposure within the constraints of the promotion budget.
     

New Product Opportunities

  • Identify and communicate new product opportunities to management.
  • Develop and recommend new product opportunities for consideration.
  • Develop at the request of management, a marketing proposal and/ or plans for new products, providing market forecasts of volume, price, cost, including product launch.
  • Search, identify and implement continuously, product line consolidation/ discontinuance programs

Product Knowledge

  • Develop and maintain product knowledge.
  • In conjunction with the Sales Excellence team, develop and implement product training programs to ensure that staff are fully conversant with selling features and benefits of assigned products.
  • Recognise and understand competitors’ products strengths and weaknesses with specific relevance to the company’s products within which training is being given.

Liaison/ Communication

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with key contacts in relevant key accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a close working relationship with Regional Sales Leaders to attain group and company sales goals.
  • Maintain productive relationships within the company at a Global level.

Tenders and Contracts

  • Responsible for assisting marketing managers with the completion of product / specification sections in the processing of tenders, expressions of interest and proposals in the qualified time frame.

Distributor Marketing

  • Assist with distributor marketing efforts
  • Review distributor marketing initiatives and signoff on initiatives ensuring they are consistent with ZOLL key messages and the ZOLL style guide
  • Ensure Distributors are updated on new products and promotional material (through the Distributor Newsletter or other means)
  • Ensure distributors have up to date brochures and marketing material.

Conference Organisation

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring effective cost control and alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate the logistics, inventory, and distribution of promotional materials and event stock.
  • Develop and execute promotional activities to drive brand awareness, engagement, and event participation.
  • Prepare post-event reports, including performance outcomes, key insights, and recommendations, for management review.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with significant experience in strategic marketing, preferably within the public safety, and medical device marketing.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience developing and executing regional marketing strategies and annual marketing plans across APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of APAC markets, including customer needs, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and cultural differences across countries.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer insights, consumer trends, market data, and competitor intelligence into actionable marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, allocating resources effectively, and measuring campaign performance and ROI.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels and markets.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, multinational organization, collaborating effectively with regional and global stakeholders, including teams based in the US.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to connect market insights to business growth and market penetration.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver initiatives across diverse APAC markets.


Travel Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel, as required.
